New items are on the way!

Edit Posted by with No comments
I'm hoping to get a few new pieces on Etsy, hopefully today. I have a purple satin and polka dot dress to post and I'm trying to finish a zebra print romper like the one I have in my shop that will be a custom order piece in newborn to 24 months (I just have to redo it with buttons that I know I can get again).

I also have a romper I'm finishing that will be size 6 months and there will only be one for now. I'm not sure it will ever be a made to order piece, but truthfully I'm leaning towards no. Here's a sneak peak...

Doesn't look like much now but it will be awesome!

I'm Getting There! New Items Coming and Google+

Edit Posted by with 2 comments
So I got some info up on Google+ and my new blog posts are supposed to publish over there now too, but I think that I have the suspicion that I will need to go back in and tweak a few things to make it happen.

As promised I posted the Antique Rose and Lace Romper up as a "Made to order" item in lots of different sizes. I only have one available as "Made to order" because I'm not entirely sure about the availability of that fabric. Next time I see it I may clean out the bolt.

I'm going to be finishing up a few new things tonight. One will be a romper done in the same black and red polka dot material as this dress:

Red and Black Polka Dot Dress

I love this material because every black polka dot is velvet!

I'm going to try to get a "Made to Order" bloomer done and another red Romper that is made of a different red cotton material. It's going to be so cute and perfect for Christmas!

I will also be tweaking my Etsy listings a little to make them easier to read. If there is any addition info that you as a buyer would like to know about any of my items, please let me know! My aim is to be as detailed as possible about the items, but being that they are my items I may miss adding information that would be helpful when making a purchase.

Back to my sewing machine! :o)

Listings and Reorganization

Edit Posted by with No comments
I got the listing for the "Made to Order" Antique Rose Romper from my last post up. It's available in a range of sizes from Newborn to 24 months. I don't have much of that material left but I have enough to make it at least once in any of those sizes. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I can get it again because that is my favorite romper so far.

Tomorrow I'm going to decided about listing the eyelet cotton material items as made to order. I will definitely be listing the romper, but I'm not entirely sure about the dress.

I will be grouping all of the made to order listings together to make them easier to find rather than having them in the separate categories. No one seems to browse by category on my page it seems anyway so it should make things easier.

I added a blog button on the left hand side of my blog, feel free to grab it and I will be grabbing throughout the week as well.

Off to bed now. I have to get in a few hours of sleep before I get up to finish studying.

Etsy, Treasuries, Creations and Connect with Me

Edit Posted by with No comments
Finally got 17 items up on my Etsy page! Wooohoo!

I'm still working on the social networking aspect of Etsy. I really would like to get to know other shop owners even if they're not into sewing or baby clothes. I guess it will happen gradually as time goes on.

I got around to creating a few treasuries yesterday. I really had fun putting these together! I hope to be able to do another one this evening.

Baby Girl Items

I'm in the process of studying for my Ethics test and creating some new things for the shop, however; I'm excited that I finally finished a piece that has been rolling around in my head for about a month now. I had this box of beautiful lace:

And I thought that it would be awesome if I could use some of it for the ruffles on a romper. I was thinking that floral fabric would be perfect, but I was having a hard time finding the perfect floral. I finally came across something I liked and this was the result...

Antique Rose Romper

I am so happy with the way it turned out. Please note that I stuff my rompers with paper so that you can get an idea of the shape. They won't look as full in the front when your little one is wearing it but I want you to see the detail of the fabric and the way the ruffles hang in back.

This one is size for 6 months, but I will be relisting this one with a "Made to Order" listing tonight so that I can make it again in other sizes. probably newborn to 2T at least.

Btw, I'm open for suggestions on styles, colors, sizes, anything. Feel free to give me some feedback and let me know what you're looking for.

Oh, and feel free to add me:

About Me

It's Me! In a goofy hat!

Thanks for visiting my blog. My name is Jacqueline Hudson. I’m 24 years old and I’m currently a college student majoring in Computer Science but I’m also an avid crafter. I’ve been crafting ever since I was a little girl, my father would drag me out to the garage in the mornings on weekends (and some school days) and we would make ceramics, stained glass pieces or whatever his current fascination of the moment was.

As I got a bit older my mother introduced me to sewing. She made quite a few of her own dresses and made almost all of my clothes until I was 8 and she always received lots of compliments on everything she made.

Years later this has led to me creating my Etsy shop LilPumpkin Boutique. I don’t have children and my mother’s baby days are over, but baby/children’s clothes are so much fun to make!

Our mission is to create fun, colorful, durable, handmade baby clothes!

Between making clothes, school and all other things in my life, I will post here about other projects and going-ons in my life. This is not my first attempt at blogging but I hope to keep this one going and regularly updated even if I have to make a schedule to do so.

Contact me anytime! Whether it's about my shop, questions, my blog, even just to chat. I would love to hear from you!

Connect with me! I'm steadily adding more social networks that I post my goods to or interact on so if you see me, connect with me!
